Under 8's
Under 8’s A team played 6 games winning all of them and not conceding a goal throughout the tournament. Fantastic team performance by all the boys! Some superb shot stopping from the goal keeper not forgetting his excellent kicking skills creating some goals, the defenders were strong showing some superb tackling skills. The midfielders were the engine showing some great passing and excellent shooting skills, not forgetting the strikers who produced some vital and stunning goals during the day!
These boys are a pleasure to work with and a team to watch over the next few years.
Cadishead u 8’s A team took part in the urmston meadowside tornament in May competing against some fantastic footballing teams, in the group stages the boys out passed all the opposition that was put in front of them ensuring finishing top of the group after not conceding a goal. We then went into the semi final playing a very very strong Reddish Vulcans side, but once again the boys showed great attitude and determination and went 2 goals up in the first half. The boys were put under pressure in the second half with the Vulcans pulling one back straight away, but with some fantastic goal line clearances, saves and defending we triumphed 2-1 to a victory. Next up was Moorside Reds another excellent team, but once again the boys dug in and produced a stunning performance ensuring a 3-2 win in the final.
What a day and a big well done to all the boys!!
U8s A team also took part in the Parkwyddn tournament on a very hot day competing against some good teams throughout the morning, topping the group conceding only 2 goals in the 6 games we played, scoring some awesome goals along the way. Once again the defence was strong and some good distribution from the goal keeper.
